Rare Plant Fair, Salthrop House, Near Swindon

Salthrop, home of designer Sophie Conran, is a 200-year-old manor house and garden set on the edge of the Marlborough Downs in Wiltshire. Following the success of the plant fairs that are regularly held in May, this is an extra date for 2026 and falls on a Friday.

17 exhibitors are lined up for this plant fair, offering a wealth of British-grown plants and expertise. They include Chris Cooke, David Owen Plants, Gardener's Delight Nursery, Green's Leaves, Hillside Exotic Gardening, Hillview Hardy Plants, Long Acre Plants, Lovegrove's Nursery, Peter the Bee and Friends, Phoenix Perennial Plants, Piecemeal Plants, Potterton's Nursery, Shadyplants.com, The Gobbett Nursery, Triffids Nursery and Willow Pottery, plus Dan Cooper Garden, of course!

Salthrop's gardens contain a fabulous variety of perennials, shrubs, roses, herbaceous borders and beautifully planted pots. The gardens are always developing with many exciting plans in the pipeline. Each area has its own character, from the peaceful fern garden to the sweeping long borders and the kitchen gardens, all surrounded by lawns and meadows. Wind your way along the woodland paths, enjoy a moment of peace by the pond and be transported into another world in the scented glasshouse and potager kitchen gardens.

Teas, coffees, lunch, and home-made cakes will be available.

Friday, September 11th 2026, 11 am - 4 pm. Admission £8.

If you'd like to save on shipping and collect an order from me at Salthrop House, please email hello@dancoopergarden.com a few days before, and I'll bring it along.
