Specialist plant sales are held three times a year at Charlton Farm near the historic market town of Malmesbury, and I am delighted to be joining for the second time in September. Visitors can buy interesting and unusual plants from carefully selected nurseries that are specialists in their fields and offer plenty of expert growing advice.Â
The garden at Charlton Farm comprises 7 acres of wild and well-tended ornamental spaces developed gradually since 2011. Entry to the sale includes admission to the garden and a donation to The Simon Rivett-Carnac Trust, a charity which funds horticultural therapy projects.
Exhibitors in September include: Hardy’s Plants, Pottertons, Peter the Bee, Kitchen Garden Plants, Longacre Plants for Shade, Gardener’s Delight, Malcolm Allison, The Gobbett Nursery, Tynings Plants & Climbers, Pheasant Acre Plants, Tom’s Yard, David Owen Plants, Rusty Raven Plant Supports, Heartsease Plants and Chris Cooke Plants and, of course, Dan Cooper Garden.

The sale will be signposted from the main road, and parking is in the farmyard opposite. Attendants will be on hand for help with purchases and disabled parking.
