When a product is recommended by customers as often as Jakoti hand shears, you know it must be good. Adored by keen gardeners and sheep farmers alike, each pair is hand-crafted from high-quality carbon steel; the blades are sharp and cut cleanly with minimal effort. Better still, they're self-sharpening. Ergonomically designed handles make the shears comfortable to use for long periods, and the low-tension spring makes them easy to operate.

Jakoti hand shears are ideal for cutting back, trimming, dead-heading and topiary work. In case you were wondering, they're perfect for shearing sheep too!

Jakoti hand shears are extremely sharp - please take great care when handling them.

As the blades are made from carbon steel, they will rust if put away wet or stored in a damp atmosphere. This is not a defect but the nature of the beast! To avoid rust, dry your shears thoroughly after use and wipe them over with an oiled cloth. Regular applications of camellia oil will help to keep them moving smoothly.

The self-sharpening design ensures that the blades stay sharp for a long time. In the event that they need resharpening, use an oilstone or diamond file to hone the outside edge of both blades. Do not attempt to sharpen the inner edges, as this will create a gap as the blades pass one another.
