Set in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, this unique 60-acre garden, set within a woodland, contains a large and notable collection of plants ranging from unusual trees and shrubs to lilies and other bulbs.
The garden’s unusual band of acid soil, in this otherwise predominantly alkaline area, provides the opportunity to grow plants such as rhododendrons, camellias and magnolias. After a very successful visit in 2023, I am delighted to be returning to this very special part of the world.
Rare Plant Fairs will bring together 14 exceptional exhibitors, offering sought-after plants and, of course, garden tools, seeds, gloves and accessories from yours truly.
Head Gardener Dan Winter will give 2 free guided walks at 11:30am and 2pm. If you would like to take part, please meet him at the café at shortly beforehand. Tours take approximately an hour.
Admission: Adults £9.00. Children aged 4-16 £1.50. Includes the Fair and Garden. Evenley Wood Season Ticket Holders free. Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome in the fair and garden. Buy your tickets on arrival at the gate - no need to prebook.
The café will be open throughout the day, offering a selection of takeaway breakfasts, lunches, hot drinks and cakes. Picnics are welcome.
