Niwaki Sakagen Flower Scissors, Yellow

Like all Niwaki's tools, these cheerful, canary-yellow flower scissors are almost too good looking to use. However, use them you must. They are superb scissors for floristry work and they live by my kitchen sink for everyday use. They combine the traditional ikebana-style form with ergonomic resin moulded handles and fluorine-coated blades. The short, sturdy blades are ideal for cutting flowers in the kitchen, greenhouse, conservatory or garden.

  • Lightweight but tough scissors for florists at all experience levels
  • Overall dimensions: 18cm x 10.6cm x 1.2cm
  • Blade length: 5.5cm
  • Made from steel and resin
  • Suitable for cutting stems, twigs and branches up to 0.5cm in diameter

Brand Focus

When it comes to making tools for cutting, chopping, snipping or shearing, no one knows their craft better than the Japanese. Niwaki, meaning simply 'garden tree', is a Wiltshire-based company founded by Jake Hobson in 2004. Having learned his craft in an Osaka nursery, Jake returned home with a passion for pruning that’s helped to make Niwaki the leading brand of Japanese tools, ladders, knives and accessories in the country.

The quality and precision of Niwaki products are legendary, many of them made in small quantities by deeply traditional methods: professional gardeners swear by them. Once you've used a pair of Niwaki snips, secateurs, shears or loppers, you'll never go back to your old cutting tools again.
