Marshmallow Annual Meadow Seed Mix

£5.50 £3.85

Soft pinks and delicate whites define this dreamy looking annual meadow mix. When designing this meadow, it was the colours of marshmallow and candy floss that inspired the team at Pictorial Meadows. This combination works particularly well with a dark fence or deep blue sky as a background.

  • Subtle and romantic flowers to create a light, soft mood
  • Clever combination of British wildflowers and non-invasive flowering plants
  • Sow March-May, directly into a prepared seedbed
  • Pack contains 6g of seed, enough to fill a plot measuring 2sqm
  • High pollen and nectar availability to support native insects and other wildlife

Annual meadow seed mixtures are carefully composed blends of native and non-native hardy annuals designed to provide high-quality, aesthetically pleasing floral displays. They have been developed during several years of intensive trials at the University of Sheffield. In gardens, annual meadows provide a colourful, wildlife-friendly replacement for mown grass; they can be sown formally in beds or to provide colour between shrubs, trees and perennials.

Pictorial Meadows' seed mixes will flower and provide visual interest over an extremely long period of time, typically from early summer through to late autumn.

This mix includes:

  • Corncockle (Agrostemma githago)
  • Iberis (Iberis hybridus)
  • Gypsophila (Gypsophila elegans)
  • Vaccaria (Vaccaria hispanica)

Exact contents may vary from season to season depending on seed availability.
