Kent Wildflower Seeds - Low-Growing Wildflowers for Lawns

ÂŁ5.00

If you dream of replacing or enhancing your lawn with wildflowers, this is the seed mix for you. Packed with low growing, native species, this wildflower mix will grow no taller than 35cm by the end of summer, requiring no more than an annual trim in early autumn.

This low-growing wildflower mix is ideal as a replacement for infrequently trodden lawns, paths and grassy areas. Since wildflowers will not compete with established grass or perennial weeds, the area to be planted should be cleared completely before reseeding.

The species in this mix include meadow buttercup, bird’s-foot trefoil, cowslip, tufted vetch, kidney vetch, yellow rattle, selfheal, wild white clover, common poppy, ribwort plantain, and alsike clover.

  • Best grown in full sun
  • Mix of annuals and perennials
  • Suitable for most soil types
  • Best sown in autumn or spring into a prepared seedbed
  • Height: up to 35 cm
  • Packet dimensions: 8.5 cm x 14 cm
  • The pack contains enough seed for a plot or pot measuring 1 square metre
  • High pollen and nectar availability to support native insects and other wildlife
  • Grown in Kent, England

Please note that the contents may vary with each harvest and availability. Some species will flower quickly, others may take longer to establish and bloom, creating an ever-changing tapestry. For a comprehensive guide to growing an abundant flower meadow from seed, read my handy guide.
