The spring plant fair at Belmont House is the perfect way to spend a Bank Holiday Monday, browsing the vast array of plants for sale and gathering ideas for your garden. Following two years of inclement weather, this surely must be the year we bask in glorious sunshine? Look out for the incredible handkerchief tree (Davidia involucrata) behind my pitch!
Belmont House, designed by Samuel Wyatt, is one of the most beautiful country houses in Kent, with gardens by Lady Arabella Lennox-Boyd and stunning views in every direction. On a fine day, you can even see the Thames Estuary across a patchwork of orchards.

Local food and drink are available, and a pop-up tea room offers cakes. Dogs on leads are welcome.
