A 10cm curved blade, bevelled on both sides, makes this the perfect tool for harvesting fruit and vegetables, pruning shrubs, and cutting ties. To use it, simply place the inner edge of the blade beside the stem or branch you wish to cut, and move the blade back and forth following its curve. Traditionally used for grape picking.

Opinel's Virobloc locking system can secure the blade in open and closed positions.

Brand Focus

Opinel

In 1890, in a small village in France, Joseph Opinel invented the folding pocket knife that now bears his name. In 1955, Marcel Opinel devised the unique Virobloc® system, which allows the blade to be secured in the open position. The Opinel company, located at Chambéry in the heart of the Alps, is still run by Joseph's decedants and manufactures blades of a quality that has made the brand famous for more than 130 years.
