'Liscombe' Terracotta Planter with Antique Patina, Small

£7.50

These wonderful planters take me back to the whitewashed greenhouses where my grandpa used to work as a head gardener.

Once they're made, the pots are left in a humid environment where they develop a rich, mossy patina. This is a natural process hence variations in colour and finish can be significant: differences are all part of each planter's nostalgic charm. The beautiful patination will appear strongest when the terracotta clay is saturated with water.

Surely the 'little black dress' of plant pots, this is terrific filled with anything from spring bulbs to auriculas. Place a layer of grit or gravel in the base of the pot and water sparingly to prevent waterlogging.

  • Planter with natural patina
  • Overall dimensions: 12cm x 12cm x 12cm
  • Made from unglazed terracotta
  • No drainage hole in the base of the pot
  • Porous, so use in conjunction with a saucer to protect surfaces
