With a long, rich history devoted to botany, lauded French candlemaker Carrière Frères enriches interiors with exceptional botanical fragrances.

Ebony (Ebenus) is the name given to the dark heartwood produced by trees of the Ebenaceae family. It's a rare, precious wood used for the finest furniture and musical instruments. Ebony has a rounded scent that's intense, warm and woody.

The candle’s white glass vessel is adorned with a beautiful botanical illustration which also features on the printed gift box that encloses the candle.

I love all that Carrière Frères stand for and am so proud that Dan Cooper Garden has been able to bring these incredible home fragrances to a wider audience of garden lovers.

Carrière Frères opt for a natural approach wherever possible. Their perfumes come from a blend of natural raw and synthetic materials. Since 2022 each of the candles and botanical palets are formulated with 100% vegetable wax from European organic rapeseed.

A commitment to sustainability continues with reed diffusers. Carrière Frères use untreated rattan sticks, a recyclable cork stopper and 100% recycled and recyclable glass. The diffuser oil is created entirely with natural alcohol made from French beetroot.

To limit the packaging’s environmental impact, no plastic or non-essential materials are used. Boxes are made from 100% recycled and recyclable FSC paper, labels are made from FSC paper (40% recycled) and the printing process uses vegetable-based inks.

It's been a joy to curate this collection of Carrière Frères home fragrances. I encourage you to scent every room in your house and embrace nature's exceptional perfumes.

Burning Your Candle Safely

Always burn a candle until the entire surface liquifies but for no more than 2 hours at a time. Allow the wax to solidify before re-lighting. Discard the candle when only 0.5cm of wax remains.

Keep the wick trimmed to 0.5cm to avoid any black smoke. If required, gently re-position while the wax is still molten.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.
