Salthrop House, home of acclaimed designer Sophie Conran, is a 200-year-old manor house set on the edge of the Marlborough Downs in Wiltshire. The house and gardens make the most of the fabulous views. The gardens contain a fabulous variety of perennials, shrubs, roses herbaceous borders and beautifully planted pots. Each area has it own character, from the peaceful fern garden to the long borders, all surrounded by sweeping lawns and lush meadows.
You can wind your way through the woodland paths, enjoy a moment of peace by the pond or be transported into another world in the scented glasshouse and potager kitchen gardens.
Rare Plant Fairs bring together some of the finest specialist nurseries in the country, making a visit to one of their events an unmissable treat.
