The East Kent Ploughing Match is an annual event that has been running for almost 80 years. Attracting thousands of visitors, the event draws tough competition between modern, old and horse drawn ploughs, and offers a fantastic day out in the countryside.
The event plays host to many small businesses with a connection to the agricultural or rural economy, including horticulture. I will be there in my finest tweeds with a wide range of tools, garden accessories and gifts for gardeners. I've no plans to sell ploughs, but hoes, axes and billhooks I can do!
